Report a Noise Complaint in Melville

If you’re affected by persistent noise from local businesses in Melville, you have the right to raise your concerns. The MRA is coordinating efforts to document repeat noise offenders, and your participation is essential in helping us take action.

Here’s How to Lodge a Complaint:

  1. Log a complaint with JMPD

    • Call JMPD by‑law enforcement line: 011 375 5911 and lodge a noise complaint.

    • You will receive a reference number – keep it safe.

  2. Prepare an affidavit

    • A minimum of three (3) affidavits from affected individuals per event are required.

    • They may come from the same household, but must speak about the same event (date/time/place).

    Your affidavit must include:

    • Date and time of the incident

    • Name and address of the offending establishment

    • How the noise affected your peace, quiet, and wellbeing

    • The JMPD reference number
